Annex 2 - Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule
The premises will be managed in accordance with Club rules.
Conditions imposed by The Licensing Act 1964.
1. Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
In this condition, permitted hours means:
) On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, Good Friday or New Year’s Eve,
10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
) On Sundays, other than Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve,
12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
) On Good Friday, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
) On New Year’s Eve, except on a Sunday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
) On New Year’s Eve on a Sunday, 12 noon to 10.30 p.m.
) On Christmas day, as provided by the rules of the club and notified in writing by the chairman or secretary of the club to the chief executive of the justices for the petty sessions area in which the premises are. The said hours shall:
i) not exceed six and a half hours;
ii) not begin earlier than 12 noon;
iii) not end later than 10.30 p.m.
iv) provide for a break of at least 2 hours, including 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.;
v) not extend for more than three and a half hours after 5 p.m.
g) On New Year’s Eve from the end of permitted hours to the start of permitted hours on the following day (or, if there are no permitted hours on the following day, midnight on 31st December).
2. The above restrictions do not prohibit:
) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises;
) during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
) during the first thirty minutes after the above hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied as ancillary to the meals;
) the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
NB: A person shall be treated as residing in any premises, notwithstanding that he occupies sleeping accommodation in a separate building, if he is provided with that accommodation in the course of a business of providing board and lodging for reward at those premises and the building is habitually used for the purpose by way of annexe or overflow in connection with those premises and is occupied and managed with those premises.
General Conditions Cont/d
1 The Licensee will ensure that an adequate and valid public liability insurance is in force and that a copy of the schedule is available for inspection by an authorised officer on request.
2 The Licensee/DPS will actively participate in a local Pubwatch/Nightsafe scheme(s) (or similar) where such a scheme operates within the locality of the premises.
3 Premises will be managed in accordance with Club Rules.
Crime and Disorder
4 The Licensee will display any notices relating to crime prevention at the request of Suffolk Constabulary.
Public Safety
5 The Licensee will ensure that an adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials are available on the premises.
6 The Licensee will ensure that fire-fighting equipment is provided in the licensed premises in accordance with any risk assessment and that staff will be suitably trained in their use.
7 The Licensee will ensure that the Fire Brigade is called immediately in the event of a fire, however slight, and the details recorded in a Fire Log-Book.
8 The local fire control centre will be notified as soon as possible if the water supply to any hydrant, hose reel, sprinkler, drencher or other fire extinguishing installation is cut off or restricted.
9 Temporary electrical wring and distribution systems will comply with the recommendation of BS 7671 or, where applicable, BS 7909
10 Where temporary electrical wiring and distribution systems have not been installed by a competent person, they will be inspected and certified by a competent person before they are put to use.
11 The Licensee will ensure that the following systems are maintained and inspected by a suitably qualified professional person in accordance with the appropriate British Standard an at intervals recommended in national guidance, and will keep the records of such inspections available for inspection by authorised officers on request:
Electrical installation
Emergency lighting systems
Fire alarm systems
Gas boiler appliance
Oil fire boiler appliance
Suspended ceilings
Portable fire fighting equipment
Temporary electrical installations
8. The Licensee will ensure that the maximum permitted number of persons on the premise will not exceed 200.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
1 The Licensee will provide and maintain signage on the premises requesting that patrons leave the area quietly.
2 Noxious smells from the licensed premises will not be permitted so as to cause a nuisance to nearby properties and the premises will be properly vented.
3 There shall be no live music, no laying of recorded music and no other musical entertainment of a similar description held outdoors unless previously agreed in writing with the Licensing Authority.
4 The volume of the amplification system shall be strictly controlled so that noise levels are non-intrusive at nearby residential properties.
5 During any music event, a responsible person shall monitor the music levels outside the building and immediately implement any changes necessary

Any such changes in noise levels shall be maintained at the reduced level for the period of the music event.
6. The windows to the function room used for the playing of music shall be kept closed when musical entertainment (other than background music) is taking place.
7. The external doors to any function room used for the playing of music shall be kept firmly closed when musical entertainment (other than background music) is taking place.
8. In the event that additional ventilation is necessary to the function room, a detailed scheme shall be submitted to the Environmental Protection Section and only an approved scheme shall be fitted.
9. The movement of bottles to and from receptacles outside the premises shall not take place between the hours of 23:30 and 07:00 other than for deliveries.
Protection of Children from Harm
1 The Licensee will ensure that children under the age of 16 are accompanied at all times by an adult while they are on the premises.
2 The Licensee and/or staff will monitor AWP(s) to ensure non-use by under-18s. A sign confirming age prohibition will also be clearly displayed near the machine(s).
