ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General Conditions
1. The outdoor cinema will be organised by Cinema Staff and Trustees. Overall responsibility will be with Michele Kench, Business Manager and Maryanne Nicholls, Trustee.
2. Roles of Health and Safety Officer, Chief Stewards and Chief Marshal have all been filled.
3. Skylight Cinema are responsible for ensuring all equipment is in place, putting up screens, sound system.
Crime and Disorder
1. The police will be informed of the event.
2. Stewards will all be briefed and trained. All stewards will wear high viz vests.
3. A communication plan will be drawn up to ensure good communication between stewards and police.
Public Safety
1. A risk assessment has been produced. A Health and Safety Officer will ensure that the event adheres to the risk assessment, is legally compliant, first aid provision will be organised and the monitoring of weather conditions will take place.
2. Action in the event of severe weather will result in the event being cancelled.
3. The Fire Service will be advised of the event. A fire extinguisher will be on the beach and one steward is a professional fire fighter.
4. The Coastguard and Aldeburgh Lifeboat crew will be informed.
Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. These two events will take place on two consecutive evenings in August.
2. The screen will be taken down as soon as the film finishes on both evenings.
3. Attendees will be encouraged by stewards to leave the beach at the end of the screening.
Protection of children from Harm
1. On Friday night when Jaws is being shown, the premises licence holder will advertise that for this film children under 12’s have to be accompanied by an adult.
2. During the screening stewards will be trained to tell any child under 12 that they have to be accompanied by an adult to watch the film.
3. Any unaccompanied children who appear to be under 12 will not be admitted to watch the film.
4. The premsies licence holder will follow the Aldeburgh Cinema’s safeguarding policy regarding children and vulnerable adults.
5. Any found children will be accompanied to the cinema by two stewards where two staff will be on duty and report this to the police.
