Annex 2 - Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule
OFF-LICENCES AND OFF-SALES DEPARTMENTS OF ON-LICENCES
Licensing Act 1964, S 60, 63, 86 and 164
1. Alcohol shall not be sold or supplied except during permitted hours.
2. In this condition, permitted hours means:
On weekdays, other than Christmas Day, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
On Sundays, other than Christmas Day, 10 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
On Christmas Day, 12 noon to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.
On Good Friday 8 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.
3. The above restrictions do not prohibit:
the consumption of alcohol on the premises during the first 20 minutes after the above hours;
the taking of the alcohol from the premises (unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel) during the first 20 minutes after the above hours;
the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there during the first 30 minutes after the above hours, if the alcohol was supplied for consumption ancillary to those meals;
The sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces;
4. Alcohol shall not be sold in an open container or be consumed in the licensed premises.
General
1. Staff will be trained with regard to their responsibilities in the retail sale of alcohol and regular refresher training (every 6 months) will also be undertaken. Training records can be made available for inspection upon reasonable request (meaning with 48 hours) by the Police or other relevant officers of a responsible authority.
2. The premises licence holder shall be permitted to undertake the delivery of goods including alcohol by a third-party delivery company.
3. There shall be no deliveries of collections of alcohol to or from the premises between 23:00 and 06:00 on the following day.
4. All delivery sales of alcohol must be paid for at the time of ordering. Payment shall be made by debit or credit card, or electronic payment such as Apple Pay, Android Pay, etc.
Prevention of crime and disorder
1. A suitable and sufficient CCTV system with recording facilities will be in place at site and will operate at all times the premise is open for licensable activities. Images can be made available upon responsible request (meaning with 48 hours) by the Police or other relevant officers of a responsible authority.
2. A till prompt system will be in operation at the store and used for the refusal of all age restricted products.
3. An electronic refusal log will be operated and maintained and will be produced to a relevant officer of the police or other relevant officers of a responsible authority upon reasonable request (meaning within 48 hours).
4. Spirits will be located behind the counter.

Prevention of public nuisance
1. The staff at the premises shall ensure delivery drivers enter and leave the premises in a quiet and respectful manner. Delivery drivers will be encouraged to not play loud music or rev cars if waiting for deliveries.
Protection of children from harm
1. A challenge 25 policy will be operated at the premise; forms of identification that will be accepted are a valid passport, phot card driving licence, a PASS accredited identification card or a Military ID.
2. The licence holder shall display prominent signage confirming the company’s Challenge 25 policy.
3. The premises shall operate in accordance with the Challenge 25 scheme. The scheme operates on the basis that, whilst alcohol may be sold to persons aged 18 years and over, at the point of delivery any persons who appears under 25 years of age will be asked for a valid form of identification. This challenge will be made by the person making the delivery.
1) The only acceptable forms of valid ID are a: proof of age card bearing the PASS hologram logo; passport; UK photo driving licence; or Military ID.
2) Alcohol will not be delivered to any person who is challenged and fails to provide an acceptable form of ID
4. There will be an age verification requirement by staff regarding all sales of alcohol made over the telephone and via online sales with a declaration made by those purchasing that they are over the legal age for purchasing alcohol.
