• Annex 1 - Mandatory Conditions

   

  EXHIBITION OF FILMS

   

  1)      Where a premises licence authorises the exhibition of films, the licence must include a condition requiring the admission of children to the exhibition of any film to be restricted in accordance with this section -

   

  2)      Where the film classification body is specified in the licence, unless subsection (3)(b) applies, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that body.

   

  3)      Where -

   

  )          the film classification body is not specified in the licence, or

  )          the relevant licensing authority has notified the holder of the licence that this subsection applies to the film in question, admission of children must be restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that licensing authority.

   

  4)              In this section -

   

  “children” means persons aged under 18; and

  “film classification body” means the person or persons designated as the authority under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984 (c.39) (authority to determine suitability of video works for classification).

   

• Annex 2 - Conditions Consistent with the Operating Schedule

   

  General Conditions

  1         The Licensee will include in any hire agreement for the premises a clause requiring all hirers and user groups to comply with published conditions   

        of hire including fire and emergency procedures, Licensing Act 2003, Health and Safety 

        procedures, hygiene procedures.

   

  Crime and Disorder

  2      The Licensee will include in any hire agreement for the premises a clause requiring all hirers and user groups to be responsible for the supervision of all hirings.

  3      The Licensee will include in any hire agreement for the premises a clause requiring all hirers and user groups to not leave the premises unattended or unsecure.

   

  Public Safety

  4         The Licensee will ensure that regular risk assessments are undertaken.

  5         The Licensee will include in any hire agreement for the premises a clause requiring  hirers and user groups to observe all fire and safety procedures.

  6         The Licensee will ensure that all fire alarms, fire equipment and electrical equipment is periodically checked.

   

  Prevention of Public Nuisance

  7         The Licensee will include in any hire agreement for use of the premises a clause requiring steps to be taken to prevent nuisance to local residents by hirers/user groups and their guests.

  2.              The volume of amplification system used in connection with any description of regulated entertainment shall be strictly controlled so that noise levels are non-intrusive at the boundaries of nearby residential properties.

   

  Protection of children from harm

  8         The Licensee will include in any hire agreement for use of the premises a clause requiring all hirers and user groups to not allow children on the premises unless properly supervised by an adult.
